Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies and procedures to insure a safe workplace in compliance with federal and state OSHA regulations.Assure thorough investigation and appropriate root cause analysis and corrective or preventive actions are taken for all accidents and incidents.Take ownership of definition and implementation of near miss, incident, and accident corrective actionsDirect project management responsibility.Conduct safety audits and JSAs to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicatedOwn these processes.Train employees in JSAs and near miss/incident/accident investigationsDefine safety and environmental programs for facilitiesWith the GMs, ensure local implementation and managementBe EHS technical support for all Company sites.Prepare monthly safety training material to be used at all Company sitesCollect data and conduct experiments to determine and monitor sources of waste (raw materials, energy, utilities, process waste, packaging, etc.)Direct waste reduction/reuse/recycle (sustainability) programs and monitor effectiveness, including coordination with disposal and transportation companies.Responsible for writing standard operating procedures on environmental and safety issues, training of employees on those procedures, and compliance enforcement.EDUCATION:
B.SEngineering(Environmental, Industrial Hygiene or equivalent discipline) EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum 5 years safety compliance responsibility in a manufacturing environmentExposure to environmental impact minimization.Interested in hearing more?
