Summary:
The RN Director of Nursing plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standardsEducation, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
o Minimum of an ASN degree from accredited college or universityo Currently licensed/registered in applicable StateMust maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.o Two (2) years supervisory experience in a post acute care or related settingo CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientationCPR certification must remain current during employmentSpecific Job Requirements:
o Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriateo Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etcto adequately plan for patient needso Collect, analyze, and manage datao Expert knowledge in field of practiceo Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actiono Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityo Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmento Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to:
patient rights, and safety and sanitationo Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.o Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationo Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedureso Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
Essential Functions:
