This opportunity is in North Carolina, an area experiencing a new and exciting phase of growth in terms of winemaking.
The ideal candidate for this position is a team player, loves to learn and is ready to join a company dedicated to producing high caliber wines.
Qualifications, Experience and Key
Responsibilities:
Prior experience working in production is preferred but, not required.
Essential qualifications for this job are a great work-ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to different winemaking styles.
Degree in Enology or science based-field is a plus but, not required.
Job responsibilities will include:
Cellar Operations, including topping, racking, transfers, additions, sample collection, barrel work and winery sanitation, forklifting (certification eligible).
Harvest Operations, including processing, punch downs, racking, additions and inoculations.
Sanitary Operations, including consistently and proactively maintaining proper cellar sanitation, assuring all cellar equipment is properly sanitized before use.
Consistently performs sanitation checks on all vessels (barrels, tanks, etc.
) prior to filling with wine.
Observes and adheres to wine quality control standards while performing cellar operations.
Performing wine pulls for the front of the house.
We expect the following of all team members:

Accept and embrace direction and constructive feedback from the Winemaker 2.
Maintain the physical capability to carry out the tasks assigned to them including, full body mobility, lifting and carrying fifty pounds.
3.
Apply common sense understanding and logic to a variety of tasks and duties, as well as take accountability.
4.
Effectively communicate, in English, both written and verbal 5.
Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, in varying conditions, standing and working on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, irregular and variable shifts including overtime and weekends as necessary 6.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Driver's License, and a dependable form of transportation.
