Food Safety Professional

As a Food Safety Professional in our fresh cut processing facility, you will be responsible for compliance of all food safety policies and regulations. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and take part in multiple projects. We are a very innovative and fast paced facility that will require a hands on approach and attitude to be successful in this position. As a leader in our industry, we strive for our management team to take ownership in our programs and facilities.
Job
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs and procedures are being implemented correctly.
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations.
Ability to increase and evaluate employee GMP's.
Enforcing facility quality and food safety standards.
Monitoring, enforcing, and further development of facility HACCP program.
Follow all food Safety Requirements' and Good Manufacturing Practices as applicable to this position.
Responsible for all employee training pertaining to food safety & GMP
Perform or oversee monitoring, verification and validation activities to ensure that all products leaving the facility meet food safety and quality standards.
Ensure proper sanitation and maintenance of facility.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish) not required but preferred
Familiar with microbiological testing programs.
Internal auditing experience.
3-5 years of food safety experience in the fresh produce industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of HAACP, GMPs, and GAPs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in biology, food science, chemistry, or other related sciences.
Skills:
Proficient computer skills required (especially Excel).
Strong analytic skills with the ability to make ethical and sound decisions.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a variety of people at various technical and management levels.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
